ARMY VISIT

Last Friday, we had a visit from Mr Skelton and some others from the New Zealand Army. We had loads of fun learning about some of their equipment and having a look inside the vehicles. It was also really interesting hearing about life in the army. R4 really enjoyed their visit and thank Mr Skelton and his group for coming to visit. 

WELCOME BACK

Welcome back to term 2 everybody! I hope you have all had an enjoyable and restful holiday. This morning, the kids shared lots of awesome and fun things they did in the holidays. I enjoyed hearing all their stories!

We are in for a big term full of exciting learning and experiences.

TURBOS Visit

Yesterday, 2 Manawatu Turbo players came to school to teach our rippa rugby players some skills. Lot's of room 4 people play rippa rugby and learnt heaps of new helpful things. Others of us got to see them and chat to them at morning tea time. They are the type of people we can look up to and are really good role models.

Our Gala was AWESOME!

We all had such an AWESOME time at our school gala, last weekend!

Weetbix Triathlon

A massive good luck to all the room 4 students taking part in the Kids Weetbix Triathlon in Palmerston North today. Go hard guys! We will be thinking of you and wishing you all the very best! We all look forward to hearing about your experiences tomorrow :)

Fantastic end to swimming

Swimming is all over for another summer. Room 4 saw it out with a bang!! Everyone did AWESOME at the senior swimming sports on Wednesday, and a big congratulations to Kai, Jack, and Anna who picked up trophies for their efforts. Great job guys! The fun swimming sports was an absolute blast on Thursday afternoon! Everyone had so much fun and participated fully in a well organised and exciting event! From golf ball and spoon races to running a length with clothes on, room 4 students got totally involved and had a fantastic time!

CAMP!

We had a great few days at camp, last week. We did loads of swimming, played fun games, did some fantastic art, competed in challenges and had an AWESOME time together!

Key Competencies

Last week, we brainstormed what some of the key competencies mean to us. This is what room 4 thinks manage ourselves and relate to others means in the classroom and around the school! We are focusing on these two key competencies this term, as it relates to our inquiry topic.

We transformed our brainstorm into an awesome wall display where we can all see it and refer back to it.

Swimming

Swimming is underway in room 4! The pool has been really warm and we have been enjoying showing our new teacher what we can do in the water. Today, room 4 even got to have a free fun swim at lunchtime. Thank you Mrs Simpson for taking us!

Welcome

Hi!

Welcome to room 4. We are awesome and have a wonderful new teacher called Miss Fleet. We think our class is really nice and colourful. We are going to have lots of fun this year and learn lots of fantastic things. Room 4 had a great first day back at school for 2015!
