Large Ball Skills - Netball

We are really enjoying large ball skills. We started off the Senior team sport rotation learning how to play netball! It was loads of fun! We will all be silver ferns in no time!

SUPER HERO DAY!

We had so much fun on Super hero day and all of our costumes looked so awesome!

Koru art!

For those who missed assembly last Friday, these are our koru artworks that we did as part of our learning in Te Reo Kori. We learnt about the koru design and about warm and cool colours. They are awesome and bright and we are really proud of them!

Room 4's Assembly

For those who missed it, we hosted assembly last week. We did an awesome job and performed a small presentation about the landing at ANZAC cove using De Bono's thinking hats. It looked and sounded fabulous! Well done room 4.

SUPERHERO DAY

Te Reo Kori

Te Reo Kori is well under way in room 4! This is some of our Rakau practice! We are working on keeping in time and exploring different rakau patterns that we can do. So far, we are doing really well!

We Love reading!

Every week on a Tuesday we visit the library to issue books for us to read at home and in independent reading time. We have started sharing a little bit about the books we are reading to the rest of the class so other students and Miss Fleet can hear what kinds of books we like to read. By sharing our books others might like the sound of the same book and want to issue it after me.

Measure, Measure, Measure!

We have been doing loads of measuring in room 4! The first part of this term is focusing on  Geometry and measurement and we are learning lot's about using rulers (mm, cm and m), converting measurements into other units and measuring perimeter and area. Check out our practice! Aren't we AWESOME?

ARMY VISIT

Last Friday, we had a visit from Mr Skelton and some others from the New Zealand Army. We had loads of fun learning about some of their equipment and having a look inside the vehicles. It was also really interesting hearing about life in the army. R4 really enjoyed their visit and thank Mr Skelton and his group for coming to visit. 

WELCOME BACK

Welcome back to term 2 everybody! I hope you have all had an enjoyable and restful holiday. This morning, the kids shared lots of awesome and fun things they did in the holidays. I enjoyed hearing all their stories!

We are in for a big term full of exciting learning and experiences.

TURBOS Visit

Yesterday, 2 Manawatu Turbo players came to school to teach our rippa rugby players some skills. Lot's of room 4 people play rippa rugby and learnt heaps of new helpful things. Others of us got to see them and chat to them at morning tea time. They are the type of people we can look up to and are really good role models.

Our Gala was AWESOME!

We all had such an AWESOME time at our school gala, last weekend!

Weetbix Triathlon

A massive good luck to all the room 4 students taking part in the Kids Weetbix Triathlon in Palmerston North today. Go hard guys! We will be thinking of you and wishing you all the very best! We all look forward to hearing about your experiences tomorrow :)

Fantastic end to swimming

Swimming is all over for another summer. Room 4 saw it out with a bang!! Everyone did AWESOME at the senior swimming sports on Wednesday, and a big congratulations to Kai, Jack, and Anna who picked up trophies for their efforts. Great job guys! The fun swimming sports was an absolute blast on Thursday afternoon! Everyone had so much fun and participated fully in a well organised and exciting event! From golf ball and spoon races to running a length with clothes on, room 4 students got totally involved and had a fantastic time!
