PET DAY!

Yesterday, we had pet had at Halcombe School. I was an awesome day! The animals were super cute and MOST were really well behaved! We really enjoyed looking around at everyone's animals and watching the country kid challenge. The sausages for lunch were even pretty yummy, too! Great day had by all :)

Cross Counrty

What a day!! The rain stopped just in time and out came the sun, just long enough for our annual cross country! We all trained really hard and it sure sure paid off!!! Congratulations to everyone who took part and did their best! Also, a big congratulations to those students who achieved Top 5 placings and are going to represent our school at the Hunterville Cross Country this Friday.

Cross Country Practice

Yesterday we did a practice run of the cross country over at the farm!! We are all training really hard and trying our best!!! The hills and the creek were a little different to our training so far but we are enjoyed the new challenge.

PARTY AT THE DISCO!!

On Friday, lots of us had a really awesome time at the disco!! We did lots of crazy, cool dancing, played games, lit ourselves up with glow sticks, ate yummy chocolate and lollies and totally enjoyed the evening!! Awesome time had by all!! Thanks to the student council and Miss Simpson for your great organisation!!! Now check out our pics!

NEW ZEALAND ENDANGERED ANIMALS!

On Monday we started our social studies unit - New Zealand Endangered animals. Collaboratively and in groups we used an alphabetical brainstorming tool to explore and share what we already know. Here's how we displayed it! 

Cross Country is looming!!

We are well under way with our cross country training. Room 4 have set goals and are working hard and pushing themselves to meet their goals. 

We need to make sure we remember our training gear every day.... 

• Shorts
• T-Shirt 
• Running shoes
• Drink bottle

Pet day Exhibits

This year, as part of pet day, room 4 exhibits are:

·        Miniature farms

·        Rustic fruit photography

Please bring to school:

•       3-5 pieces of fruit or vegetables or both on TUESDAY 20^TH OCTOBER
•       A meat dish or something of similar size for your farm to be made in. Silver disposable roasting dishes are fine (if you cannot bring any of these please let me know Before the due date) Bring to school by FRIDAY 23^RD OCTOBER
•     A selection of items to make your farm with. Bring to school by FRIDAY 23^RD OCTOBER
